Customer Journey

Inspired by the rhythm of India’s six seasons, Ritu is designed as a journey through colour, craft and atmosphere.

The brief

The vision for Ritu was to create a restaurant that would celebrate the diversity and richness of Indian cuisine through the lens of its six seasons. The client sought a design that could translate this narrative into an immersive spatial experience, allowing guests to feel the rhythm of India’s landscapes, climate and cultural traditions through architecture and interior design. The brief called for a dining environment that felt elegant and contemporary while remaining deeply connected to the spirit of India. Materials, colours and patterns were to reflect the vibrancy and symbolism embedded in Indian culture, while the atmosphere needed to remain calm, refined and welcoming.

The ambition was to craft a destination that would feel memorable and distinctive — a place where dining becomes an experience shaped by storytelling, craft and the changing moods of the seasons.

Scope of Work

Kotak Design developed the concept design for the restaurant, translating the narrative of India’s six seasons into a cohesive interior architecture and branding direction. Our work included spatial planning, interior concept development, material and colour palettes, bespoke architectural detailing, lighting concepts and atmosphere studies. The design also explored brand identity elements and presentation strategies to ensure the story of the seasons was reflected consistently throughout the dining experience.

Layered textures, sculptural forms and luminous details create an immersive dining experience where nature, culture and cuisine come together — a space that celebrates the beauty, abundance and changing moods of India throughout the year.
