A home where luxury feels effortless and comfort feels natural
The brief
Set within the refined character of Marylebone, this project was envisioned as a home that brings together understated luxury and everyday comfort. The brief was to create a space that feels calm, spacious, elegant and deeply personal—where each room supports both moments of togetherness and quiet retreat. The design needed to balance sophistication with warmth, ensuring the home felt elevated yet lived-in, timeless yet responsive to modern family life.
A key aspiration was to create fluid, connected spaces that allow natural light to move freely, while subtly defining zones for living, entertaining and private family moments. The palette was to remain soft and refined, with carefully layered materials, muted tones and tactile finishes that reflect a sense of ease, permanence and quiet luxury.
Scope of Work
Kotak Design led the interior architecture and design development, carefully shaping the spatial planning to suit contemporary family living. The scope included the creation of open-plan living environments, bespoke joinery design, and the curation of a cohesive material and colour palette across all spaces. Particular focus was given to integrating functional requirements—such as storage, flexible living zones and seamless transitions—into a design that feels effortless and refined.
