The brief
1A Elm Park Road is a carefully considered new-build residence created from a newly formed plot carved from the shortening of neighbouring gardens. Securing planning permission for a home that responds sensitively to its surroundings, taking cues from the rhythm and proportions of the neighbouring Victorian houses while introducing a contemporary interpretation of the traditional split-level form.
The design celebrates the character of the street while allowing the interiors to unfold with calm architectural clarity and timeless detailing. Natural textures, warm timber tones and layered lighting bring depth and softness to the spaces, creating a home that feels both refined and welcoming. Each level has been carefully composed to support family life, balancing elegance with comfort to create a home that feels personal, enduring and thoughtfully crafted.
Scope of Work
Kotak Design provide contract administration for the construction of residence and developed the full interior architectural design, including spatial planning, material selection, bespoke joinery design, lighting strategy, bathroom concepts and curated FF&E direction, supported by detailed drawing packages and coordinated specifications for construction.
